Traffic Exchanges – Do They Actually Work?
Thursday, September 8th, 2011My initial internet site – it was so exciting all those years ago! The joy was short-lived as the realization swiftly dawned: Nobody was likely to purchase from the website since nobody would see it. Depressing times indeed.
I enthusiastically explored each and every option offered and on the way, lost an excellent deal of funds in false promises. It comes down to the webmasters fundamental problem and there’s no shortage of merchandise all promising you the answer… how to get traffic.
Amongst other solutions, traffic exchange promise the answer. Site visitors to your web page is guaranteed and a traffic traffic exchange is no cost to join. Absolutely they worked as well as the traffic came but the visitors to my website had been grudging and resentful. They had not come out of any desire to understand what I had to give and undoubtedly they had not come to purchase. As a way to earn a reciprocal viewing on my site, I had to spend hours viewing other people – the traffic I received was the very same. Everybody coming to my website was just counting down the seconds until they could leave.
At the exact same time, whilst no-one would get from me, I located myself tempted by a number of the internet site related offers elsewhere! You send two clear messages if you use a traffic exchange: You will need traffic, firstly, and secondly you might need to have other web services such as hosting. I was a gullible target as several web-sites are geared at selling into that niche.
Rather than surfing for credits, there’s the option of paying for credits. Or possibly I could discover someone to click for pocket cash.
Then I realised how ridiculous it was!
I may not waste my time, but was now thinking about wasting a person else’s time rather. In terms of human resources it appears criminally wasteful (and naturally it still didn’t resolve the fact that the quality of the traffic I was receiving was quite hopeless).
To this day I find it difficult to comprehend why traffic exchanges continue to exist: An individual will not be a willing buyer if they are not viewing a web site out of genuine interest.. Traffic exchanges will continue to supply hope to inexperienced webmasters – but for high quality traffic, the answer is elsewhere.
