Aesthetic Surgeries: a Look at Hair Transplant
Wednesday, January 11th, 2012We’ve all heard about aesthetic surgeries before and we’ve also heard a lot of things about it. From the good to the bad, the internet offers so many resources that you can access and read about. All you need to do is sit in front of your PC and research a little.
With regards to aesthetic surgery one of them seems to be apart from the rest. May be it’s because it really is not as vain as the other procedures are. The procedure being referred to is the hair transplant procedure. The reason as to why it is considered to be apart is not as clear as the day. All we know for certain is that people who undergo this procedure doesn’t seem to have the same perspective for hair transplant as that of the other type of aesthetic surgery.
Hair transplant in a sense is being questioned because of the so many taboo explanations that leaked out of the media. There were those patients who, according to their testimonies suffer from numbness of the transplanted area and there are those that say that the hairs grew in an unnatural way. But because of advancements in the technology used in this field, the following taboo stories were dismissed and buried.
From the moment that hair transplant was re-discovered after World War II, the doctors who studied it made sure that they perfect the art of harvesting and grafting hair follicles and skin. And as years and decades pass, many devices were invented to aid the process. A more refined harvesting procedure is also discovered and perfected. More and more, the people are accepting this procedure as something of a necessity rather than a vanity one.
But like so many medical procedures out there, it is not certain that we’ve reached the peak of hair transplant. The only certain thing is that there will be more developments, inventions and discoveries after this one. We will never know how hair transplants will be after 10 or 15 years. It may stay the same or develop some more. Let’s just hope that in the near future it will not only be burned victims or balding men and women who will look at hair transplant as a life saver. Because if you really think of it, anyone who is suffering from hair thinning or baldness deserve to be given a solution to their problems.
It is up to the doctors who are now practicing hair transplant to educate and inform the patients and the public of the benefits of this procedure. It will be their responsibility to show the world that this is not a procedure that will change who they are but a procedure that will enhance their real personality and open up a whole new chapter to their lives.
So let’s not close our doors to the wonders of hair transplant, let us instead look at the bright side of this brilliant procedure and allow ourselves to see the benefits that can be gained from it.
